Diabetes Support Group
We are a group of people that have in some way been affected by diabetes whether we have the illness or caring for someone that has the condition. We hope to provide information to show that a good lifestyle can still be enjoyed with a little alteration to our eating and exercise. Different speakers are invited to our meetings each month giving talks on varied topics that can be of use in showing diabetes sufferers that we can live a near normal life, and take part in most activities undertaken by people that do not have diabetes, and in a number of cases by talking to others find a solution to a problem that others have found a way to overcome. We also encourage people to look after themselves in the home with talks by specialists on all aspects of health and safety.
Our meetings are held on the Third Saturday of each month from 10am to Mid Day were there will always be a welcome to diabetes sufferers and carers at Long Knowle Community Centre, Woodend Road, Wednesfield. There is ample Free Parking on site.
