This is an advisory and consultation group representing all other key groups that are interested in diabetes across Wolverhampton. The Group works with the NHS, especially the Diabetes national service framework local implementation team, to discuss and advise on diabetes services in Wolverhampton, including preparation of local protocols and guidelines. A regular stock take and review of diabetic services is undertaken to enable the provision of efficient and effective service delivery. The Group plays a very important scrutiny and watchdog role to keep an eye on how things are going and tries hard to ensure that the patient’s voice is heard.
