In such a multi-cultural city as Wolverhampton language can often be a barrier to accessing health services. The Health and Social services Interpreting Service was set up to improve accessibility, acceptability and equal access to health services irrespective of the language, culture and religion of individual clients.

Bookings can be made by health and social services staff and patients by telephoning the service from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday on 01902 576454. An over- the- telephone service is available for urgent cases where a face to face interpreter cannot be located.
